At a Japanese restaurant…

Q: In Japan, when asked how many to seat at a restaurant, do you use the counter “-nin” or not? For instance, if there are three people, do you answer san or sannin? – Kim

A: You do always use the “nin” so you’d say “sannin”.  That’s the main reason I did the 10 Little Samurai video – to learn the counters for people!
