A: There’s a running joke that the worst swear word in Japanese is to just to say “you” to someone in the wrong format! i.e. saying “omae” to someone socially higher than yourself.
And that’s about it really!
Which I think is pretty good as although a lot of people want to learn swear words when they learn a language you just come across as looking really stupid if you don’t know how to use them properly. Or worse you come across as an insolent foreigner! In any language it’s always better to be more polite than you have to, especially in Japan. Even in a bar. Even if you happened to find yourself in a motorcycle gang or something!
