Is Sakura pink or white?

One question I get every year is:

Is 桜 – Sakura – cherry blossom –  pink or white?

Seeing as the cherry blossoms are so beautiful, I figured I’d do a video to show you – it is pretty cool!

Do like or share the post if you’d like me to film the cherry blossoms light up this week!

When I last went to Japan, I was told that color was more related to the age of the tree. The younger the tree, the pinker the color. The very old trees had more whitish blossoms. Either way, they are so beautiful. Did you say where you were? I love the promenade of Ueno Park for the lusciousness, but I like how the park you were in felt more natural. Thank you for sharing the video. Wish I were there!

Nice Video, I was in Tokyo for the Sakura last year, and that made me a bit sad I’m not there now! Enjoy it, get yourself good and Hanami’d

I have never seen a cherry blossom Tree in person but my high school has these trees that blossom pink flowers and I think they look like cherry blossom Trees

I live in Illinois: United States- so I don’t think they are actual cherry blossom Trees

I love seeing these in bloom, I’m lucky that right outside my window there are quite a few Sakura and it really is quite a sight when they fall.
