I’m just about to get on a plane back to Japan for 6 weeks before I start my European tour of Italy, Slovakia and Ukraine.
So what do I look forward most to when I get back to Japan?
Cherry Blossoms? They are in full bloom right now, but that’s not the main thing!
Ramen and Japanese food? Well, it is nice to get proper sushi. Believe, what they call sushi overseas isn’t sushi!
Nope, the thing I look forward to most is … all the amazing Japanese music gear!
You’re probably not into this as much as I am, but Akai, Roland, Korg, Yamaha and all the top electronic music gear producers are all Japanese. Which means we get to demo and buy all the cool stuff before anyone else. And it’s also *way* cheaper in Japan then other countries!
Ninja Tip: If you head off to the “Hard Off” chain of stores you can get used music gear for a quarter of the price overseas!
I can’t wait to check out the new MPCs, APCs and of course the Roland Airas!!
P.S. Seeing as it is Cherry Blossom season I’ll be heading out to film more responses to your questions next week, so do keep them coming, it sometimes takes me a while to answer but I do get around to them all eventually!
