What is 21 in Japanese?
Q: konichiwa! what a fantastic website! my questions is: if 20 is ni jyu, then is 21 ni juyu ichi? and how about 100, 200, 300, .. ? thanks ichigo
A: Hi Ichiro. Yep, 21 is ni jyu ichi. 100 is 百, so 200 is 二百 ni hyaku. 300 is just the same method, but it comes out as sam byaku because san hyaku is too difficult to say – just try it and see!
Be genki,
Richard
