When’s the best time to move to Japan?
Q: Hi Richard^^! First if all i gotta say big THANK YOU to you as your page, videos and so on really really help me with my japanese learning
! and my question is: when is actually the best time to go to Japan and start a new life there? i mean should i move right after my A-levels (im from uk) or wait until i finish university (coz i wanna study Japanese) and what will i need to do such a serious change in my life (im thinking about documents that i will need and stuff like that)??? plus what about accomodation? is it quite easy or hard to find a flat or room to live in Japan??? Thanks, Susie :]
A: I think what I’d recommend would be to do a high school exchange whilst you at high school or maybe just after. Then see if you like it and think about coming back over once you have a degree. Or have a look for scholarships to come to university in Japan, some of them can be very generous! In anycase getting a degree is probably the easiest way to work here with regards paperwork etc.
